Sheepskin Leather Conditioner - Workshop Blend

Developed, handmade and used in our Pennine workshop, Sheepskin Conditioner is the blend we use on time-worn flying jackets and classic shearling coats. It is intended for the leather side of sheepskin, where balance, restraint and control are essential.

Like all our Workshop Blends, it is made in small batches from carefully selected natural ingredients, with no silicones, petroleum, alcohol or solvents. It is formulated for the controlled care of vintage leather, not as a general-purpose surface treatment.

The blend absorbs gradually, conditioning the skin without over-softening the hide or migrating into the fleece. Applied sparingly, it can bring softness and movement back to sheepskin that has dried through age or storage, while keeping its natural structure, breathability and character. The improvement is material rather than cosmetic: some garments show a subtle enrichment of the leather, others regain suppleness with little visible change. More is not better here.

Best suited to: the leather side of vintage sheepskin garments, including flying jackets and shearling coats. In experienced hands it can also be used very sparingly on dried suede or reversed sheepskin, taking care to avoid oversaturation, darkening or contact with the fleece.

Please note: always test on a small, inconspicuous area first and let the leather settle fully before going further. Natural leather can respond differently depending on age, finish and previous treatment.
