FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What types of jackets do you offer?

We specialise in vintage leather jackets from iconic eras, including WWII flight jackets, 1940s workwear, 1950s biker jackets, and later twentieth-century styles. Our collection features a variety of leathers such as horsehide, goatskin, steerhide, and vegetable-tanned leather, each carefully restored to preserve its history and craftsmanship.

2. Are the jackets sold as-found, or have they been restored?

Every jacket offered has been professionally restored prior to sale to ensure longevity while retaining its original character. This work is carried out in-house and is specific to the jackets we curate and sell.

3. How are the jackets cleaned and prepared?

Each jacket undergoes specialist cleaning and sympathetic restoration where required. This may include structural repairs, hardware replacement, and careful surface work to stabilise and present the leather while respecting its age and patina.

4. Are the jackets wearable or for display only?

Unless otherwise stated, all jackets are fully wearable. Given their age, they should be worn with care. Many pieces are also highly collectible and suited to display or archival use.

5. How do I choose the right size?

Each listing includes precise measurements taken with the garment laid flat. We recommend comparing these to a jacket you already own to ensure the best fit.

6. What condition are the jackets in?

We provide clear and honest descriptions of each jacket’s condition, including signs of wear, patina, and any characteristics acquired through age and use. Any restoration work carried out prior to sale is reflected in the listing.

7. Where are you based, and do you ship internationally?

We are based in the Calderdale Valley of the South Pennines in England and ship worldwide. Every jacket is carefully packaged to ensure it arrives safely and in excellent condition.

8. Can I return a jacket if it doesn’t fit?

Yes, returns are accepted provided the jacket is returned in the same condition as received. Please refer to our returns policy for full details.

9. How should I care for my jacket after purchase?

Store your jacket in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, and condition the leather periodically using a suitable leather conditioner to maintain suppleness.
