Maintenance Leather Conditioner - Workshop Blend

Developed and used in our Pennine workshop, this Maintenance Conditioner is a leather jacket conditioner created for the ongoing care of vintage leather jackets in regular wear. It is the blend we apply to jackets that remain structurally sound but show early signs of dry leather, surface fatigue, or reduced flexibility that naturally come with age and use.

Positioned as a preventative leather jacket care product, this workshop blend replenishes internal lubrication within the hide, supporting flexibility while helping to slow moisture loss and fibre fatigue caused by movement, wear, and environmental exposure. It provides a more active level of conditioning than minimal surface treatments while remaining controlled and measured in application.

The blend absorbs steadily into the leather rather than sitting on the surface, maintaining suppleness without sealing the grain or introducing unwanted shine. This makes it particularly well suited to vintage and vegetable-tanned leathers where balance and restraint are essential. On some hides, a slight darkening may be visible during application, which typically settles as the conditioner absorbs and the leather is allowed to rest.

Ideal for jackets in rotation, seasonal leather jacket maintenance, and preventative care between deeper restoration intervals, this blend supports long-term wearability without altering surface character or replacing restoration work where it is genuinely required.

Applied sparingly by hand, the leather should feel nourished, settled, and structurally supported, retaining its original integrity and natural finish.
