Neutral Leather Conditioner - Workshop Blend

Developed, handmade and used in our Pennine workshop, Neutral Conditioner is our most colour-sensitive blend, made for vintage leather jackets where keeping the original tone matters most. It is the one we rely on for lighter, porous or delicate leathers that need conditioning with as little change to colour and finish as possible.

Like all our Workshop Blends, it is made in small batches from carefully selected natural ingredients, with no silicones, petroleum, alcohol or solvents. It is formulated for the controlled care of vintage leather, not as a general-purpose surface treatment.

The blend absorbs gently into open fibre structures, replenishing oils lost through age, wear and storage. Conditioning takes place within the leather rather than on the surface, so the hide regains flexibility and breathability without added shine.

Best suited to: porous leathers, lightly finished hides and sensitive vegetable-tanned leather, as well as older chrome-tanned jackets where the original sheen has lifted with age and the leather has softened and opened up. Ideal for lighter-coloured jackets and restoration work where keeping the original tone and surface character is critical.

Please note: on porous or bare leather, a slight deepening of colour is natural. Fibres that have gone without conditioning for years will take on a little tone once they are fed again, and the result is usually a richer, softer leather. Warm by hand and apply sparingly; on leather that has already softened, a very light application is enough. Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first and let it settle fully before going further.
