Produced in the late 1990s to early 2000s, this Schott LC BL71 café racer jacket represents a later evolution of the brand’s motorcycle heritage, where traditional American construction meets more contemporary detailing. While rooted firmly in classic café racer design, this model stands out through its use of contrasting leather panels, giving it a distinctive visual depth beyond purely utilitarian riding wear.

Constructed from full grain cowhide, the leather is dense and naturally pebbled, offering durability alongside a supple hand. Finished in deep black with tan contrast panels across the shoulders, trims and quilted elbow patches, the jacket carries a confident, balanced aesthetic. The surface shows a soft natural sheen with light patina developed through wear, reflecting age and quality rather than artificial distressing.

The cut is clean and purposeful, with a minimal front zip and a stand collar secured by twin Schott press studs. Lines through the body and sleeves are sculpted yet restrained, resulting in a silhouette that feels substantial without being bulky. Proportions remain well judged, making the jacket equally suited to riding or everyday wear.

Inside, the jacket is lined with a quilted black nylon lining, providing warmth, structure and durability. The lining remains clean and intact, with no issues affecting comfort or wearability. Heavy duty Schott zippers and reinforced stitching are present throughout, reinforcing the jacket’s reputation for long service life.

The jacket remains in excellent vintage condition. The leather is supple and strong, with light, age appropriate wear consistent with use. There are no structural flaws, damage or deterioration. The lining is clean, all zips and hardware function correctly, and the jacket retains its original integrity throughout.
