Produced in the early to mid 1940s, this German despatch rider jacket by Lebesto Qualität is a surviving example of wartime leatherwear designed for men operating under extreme conditions. Cut from heavyweight horsehide and finished in an uncommon deep green tone, it stands apart from the more typical black and brown jackets of the period.
