This Cirrus B-3 has the quiet authority of a jacket made properly. Produced in England in the late 1980s, it comes from a period when Cirrus were still working to original specifications: heavy sheepskin, traditional patterns, construction methods that favoured longevity over convenience. These weren't replicas. They were honest interpretations of wartime flight jackets, built to carry the same presence without pretending to be something they weren't.
The sheepskin is dense and substantial throughout. Deep fleece against the body, leather exterior that has aged with character rather than weakened with time. The hide shows natural grain variation across the panels, textured and alive in the way only full sheepskin develops after years of wear. The collar sits with real weight, framing the neckline cleanly, and the body holds its shape when worn without feeling stiff or over-engineered.
Details are executed with care. The throat strap, the waist tabs, the proportion of the cut. All of it speaks to a manufacturer who understood the original design and respected it. Nothing is exaggerated. Nothing is decorative for the sake of it. It's simply well made.
This jacket has been professionally cleaned and lightly conditioned using our workshop blend sheepskin conditioner. The work was conservative: nourishing the hide without altering its surface or colour, preserving rather than restoring. The leather remains supple and responsive. The fleece is full and even. All hardware functions as it should. It's ready to wear.
Condition is excellent. The structure is intact, the fleece clean and soft, the leather showing the patina of honest age without damage or neglect. It feels complete and confident, a jacket that has earned its character and retained its integrity.
Cirrus B-3s from this era are increasingly difficult to find in this state. Most have been worn hard, altered, or treated heavily over the years. This one has avoided that. It remains true to itself: strong, balanced, and ready to be worn with purpose.
