Straight from the postwar workshops and factory floors of 1950s France, this leather workwear jacket was built for grit, labour, and longevity—but it wears with unmistakable style. Crafted from soft, vegetable-tanned full grain leather, it carries decades of honest use in its patina: rich, darkened tones, subtle creases, and surface wear that speak to a life well lived.
Designed for movement and utility, the jacket features a bi-swing back for ease across the shoulders and side zips at the waist for a dialed-in fit. The original Eclair zips remain in place, as do two slanted front pockets—practical and perfectly placed. Inside, a removable sheepskin lining backed with tartan cotton adds warmth without compromising structure, making this a rare dual-season piece.
Restored with care, the leather has been professionally cleaned and conditioned, preserving its flexibility while enhancing the depth of its natural character. No major repairs—just strong seams, solid hardware, and a body full of presence. Surface wear, chapping, and marks are all part of the story, adding to its rugged, lived-in charm.
