An early 1990s Chevignon World Traveler B-3, cut from full sheepskin and finished in the honey gold tone that defined the brand at its peak. This is the version that established Chevignon as the European benchmark for the B-3, where material, weight and proportion were handled with real authority.

The outer skin sits in that warm caramel range, shifting toward honey gold in the light, with natural mottling and tonal variation across the panels. It has not been corrected or over-finished, so the grain, markings and irregularities remain visible throughout, exactly as intended. These are not flaws but part of the hide itself, giving the jacket depth and honesty. The surface has held well with only two light scuffs, one at the left shoulder and one to the lower front, both minor and in keeping with careful use.

Chevignon, founded in Paris in 1979 by Guy Azoulay, built its reputation on sourcing and reworking original American military and workwear. The B-3 was central to that identity. First developed in 1934 for the United States Army Air Corps, the original jacket was designed for open cockpit flying at extreme altitude, where insulation and structure were critical. By the late 1980s and early 1990s, Chevignon had refined this pattern into something both faithful and wearable, and the World Traveler line became one of the strongest interpretations produced outside the US.

The shearling remains dense, clean and even throughout, with a deep cream pile that has not collapsed or thinned. The collar is broad and heavily lined, designed to be worn up at the throat with twin leather straps and gunmetal buckles, staying true to the original flight specification. Worn open, it sits wide across the shoulders with the same weight and presence. The cuffs and hem retain their full shearling return, consistent and well balanced against the outer panels.

Dark brown leather binding runs through every seam, defining the structure of the jacket and giving contrast against the lighter body. It frames the zip channel, cuffs, hem and pocket openings, keeping the silhouette controlled. The front zip runs cleanly, the pockets sit neatly into the body, and the original World Traveler interior label remains intact, complete with aircraft motif and full period branding from before the mid 1990s changes.

The jacket has been professionally cleaned and conditioned in the workshop. The leather remains supple, the shearling fresh, and all hardware functions as it should. It presents as a well-kept example with strong material integrity and clear character from age rather than wear.
